28 Months

I can't believe that our little Bean is already 28 months (as of yesterday).  The time is just going SO quickly.  It seems like she JUST turned 2, and at the same time, she's changing so much every day.  Her vocabulary is increasing at a crazy pace, and she constantly keeps us entertained.  Here are just a few of the things she's done recently that we wanted to remember to write down.

*  Last night, we were looking for her blanket (that she calls "Bobby.")  Bobby is her best friend, and she plays with him like he was a person or a stuffed animal.  She constantly pretends that he has a personality.  Last night, she found Bobby "hiding" in the dining room under Mommy's computer desk.  I found him and handed him to her, and I said, "Silly bobby was hiding!"  She looks at Bobby with a very stern expression, wags her finger at him, and says "No No Bobby!  No hiding!"  And then she gave him a little spank (which is weird to me because we've never spanked her as a punishment, so I don't know where she got that)

* An expression that we hear a lot these days is "Oh!  Ok!"  This is usually in response to something like, "Chloe, can you come lay down so we can change your diaper?"  "Oh!  Ok!"

*  Another thing we're hearing a lot of is, "What you doing, Mama?"  Yesterday, she & I were in the car, and she said, "What you doing, Mama?"  I said, "I'm driving.  What are you doing, Chloe?"  She said, "Baby dwiving, too!"

*  With the hot summer months, one word that seems to come up a lot is ice cream.  "Ipe-Seem"  "Baby eat ipe-seem, too!"

*  I think I've mentioned before that she's such a climber.  She climbs on anything that she can get a leg up on.  Nothing stops my heart like hearing, "Mama!  I cwimbing!!"

* Last night, we turned the house upside down looking for our lost car keys & a lost sippy cup of chocolate milk.  Every time I'd ask her where they were, she responded with, "Oh!  I know!" but she could never guide us there.  Turns out that her daddy was the culprit on the car keys.... they were still in his pants pocket from the day before.  We found the milk sitting in the window sill several hours later.  That wasn't bad at all.  The last time she lost a cup of milk, it took us weeks to find it.  Let's just say when we DID find that one, it went straight to the trash!
* She's got a little plastic set of instruments that Jeff bought her ages ago.  It includes a harmonica and a kazoo which she loves to play ALL the time. The funny part is that she refers to both of them as a tuba.  I have NO idea where she's made that connection, but she's constantly playing her kazoo and then saying, "Mama!  I pway tuba!"

*  In my last post, I mentioned that Jeff had tested positive for latent TB infection.  I went back a couple days later and found that I had tested positive, as well.  So, he & I both started on a 9 month regimen of Isoniazid.  Chloe's pediatrician recommended that she be tested as well.  We just got her results today, and I'm THRILLED to report that she's negative!  Such an answer to prayer!  That means that there's a good chance Jeff & I were exposed years ago, and she's completely safe!

I've actually scrapped a couple of layouts lately for work:
