May 2015 Randomness

This popped up on my Timehop app today. I can't even... this was the day she found her thumb. She hasn't lost it since. Lol

--------------------------

Chloe's new phrase to describe something awesome, "The coolest & the moolest." As in, "Hey mama! Come check out what I built! It's the coolest & the moolest!"

We hear it ALL the time. Apparently, we have lots of "coolest & the moolest" stuff in our house.

--------------------------------

Another Chloe story...

She woke up screaming this morning about 30 minutes before my alarm went off. I bolted out of bed to go see what was wrong. When I got in there, she was crying, "I don't want Hulk to smash my toys!"

I finally got her calmed down after assuring her that Hulk was NOT going to smash her toys. She went back to sleep and slept for nearly 4 more hrs! Apparently, she had an eventful night with some crazy dreams!

-------------------------------

Chloe's prayer last night was so sweet that I have to share:

"Dear God, thank you for today. Thank you for letting us watch Capkin 'Merica Idol. Thank you for my popsicle. Thank you for my toys. Thank you for my Mommy. Thank you for my Daddy. Thank you for my Bobby that Auntie Rachel gave me. In Jesus' name, Amen."

(Bobby is her blankie that goes EVERYWHERE with her. She's had him since she was about 9 months old)

-----------------------------

I love that Chloe calls American Idol "Captain America Idol." LOL

----------------------------

I sorta love that I've "trained" Chloe to ask for "quiet time" when she wakes up in the morning.

She's perfectly content to play in her room for up to 2 hrs before she comes out to greet the world. If I go in to check on her, she says, "Me please have some quiet time?"

Now granted, she makes up for it the rest of the day where she is on the go non-stop leaving a path of destruction behind her and requiring constant interaction.

I like a little "quiet time" myself when I first wake up though, so I don't blame her at all. I don't want to think about what mornings will be like when she starts school though. LOL

----------------------------

Another bedtime funny from Chloe. We were, once again, reading through an ABC book at bedtime. This was a rhyming one, but she kept stopping the flow to tell of other things that started with each letter. We get to J -

Me: J is for jack-o-lantern who looks pretty scary.
Chloe: It's also for Jack.
Me: Who's Jack?
Chloe: He's my best friend.
Me: He is? Who is he?
Chloe: You know. He jumped over the candle. Remember?

------------------------

3:45am - Chloe wakes up screaming (totally unlike her... I never hear a peep out of her in the night). I go in to check on her, and she was upset that she couldn't find her flashlight. I couldn't find it either, but I got her calmed down and snuggled back under the covers.

4:30am - Just about 10 minutes after I'd finally gone back to sleep. More screaming. This time she was saying, "Mama! There's something scawy in my bed! Remember what Daniel Tiger says? (singing) 'See what it is; you might feel better!'"

So, we had to check it out. (It was just the shape of her bed frame making a shadow on the wall).

I waited a bit before going back to sleep to make sure she was ok, but I didn't hear anything else. So, I guess Daniel Tiger saved the day... errr... night.

-----------------------

Tonight as I was tucking Chloe in, she chose an ABC book for her story. So, we were going through the alphabet talking about each letter and the sound it makes and naming words that start with that letter. We get to the letter T, and she's pointing out pictures saying "Table, TV, Tomato" etc. She points to a thermometer:

Chloe: What's that?
Me: That's a thermometer for taking your temperature.
Chloe: Fermometer? Fermometer doesn't start with a T, silly! Fermometer starts with an F!

hahahaha!!! I love this kid!

------------------------

"Hey mama! Take a picture of my picnic for my fwends and put it on you computer, ok?"

------------------

Chloe has been playing quietly in her room all morning for some "quiet time" as she calls it. She came out a few minutes ago:

Chloe - I've been playing SO much!
Me - Well, you ARE a good player!
Chloe - (singing) Players gonna play play play play, I just wanna play play play play..
-------------------------

We drove down to Alva, OK a couple weeks ago to watch Kendra's brother Taylor play baseball for Southwestern Oklahoma State. While we were at the ballpark, chloe danced the day away. She never stopped moving when the music was playing. Between songs, she'd run up & say "that was good rock star dancing, huh?" People in the crowd were watching her and couldn't help but smile. I wish we'd taken more photo/video, but this will have to do. Such a GREAT day!

----------------

She's in rare form today.

Me: (dancing around like an idiot) Go Chloe, Go Chloe! It's your birthday! Oh yeah!
Chloe: I'm sorry, but it's not my birthday. It's not your birthday either.

-----------------

Chloe: Mama! Mama, come quick!
Me: (running into the living room where she's on the couch watching tv) What is it?
Chloe: Bubble Guppies is on. Can I please have some privacy?

Ooooooookay then

------------------

"I'm gonna be a super hero when I grow up." - Chloe, age 3

------------------

"Hey mama! I made a picture of you outside on a sunny day!"
