Chloe's made-up word of frustration/disappointment: shuckery-doo!
For example: "Mama, can I have some ice cream?" "You can have some after dinner." "Aw man! Shuckery-doo!"
Based on the number of times we hear this, she's disappointed a lot.

I know this is Chloe's blog, but I have to mention that Kendra just finished her junior year of high school... how am I the mom of a high school senior?

Me: Chloe, do you want some grapes? (handing her a baggie)
C: Um no. They're too round.

"When I grow up I'm gonna be a chef and a builder and a doctor to help people and a cwimber and a betective and a fire fighter. I can't wait! Oh and a painter, too." - Chloe, age 3

#WhyIsChloeCrying- Because Spiderman isn't an Avenger. (I know, I know... but in her world the only "real" Avengers are the ones who are in the movie. She'll just have to be patient)

Me: What do you want for breakfast, Chloe?
C: (thinking) Hmmmm... I know! A peanut butter sandwich! Peanut butter is MY fave-wit!
(I make the sandwich and she takes a bite)
C: I don't want it. I don't like peanut butter.

Apparently, it's just gonna be one of those days.
(Sandwich is now being saved for lunch when she decides that she loves pb again)

Tonight, Jeff was going to take Chloe to the movies, but she very suddenly started throwing a fit saying that she didn't want to go to the movies (after talking about it excitedly all afternoon - she couldn't wait for popcorn). She said wanted to go to her "new home" instead. I asked her what new home she was talking about, and she said, it's a new home far, far away with a new mommy and daddy. I told her I'd be very very sad if she went to a new home, and she says, "Don't worry, mama! I'm gonna miss you!"
I seriously have NO idea where this has come from. I can't think of anything she's seen on tv that might've prompted this sudden desire for a new home. She hasn't been in trouble or anything, so it's not like she wants to "run away" cause she's mad at us. We were having a perfectly happy afternoon when this just came out of the blue.
3 year olds are very complex creatures.

Pretty sure a lot of my fb friends may not get this little Chloe story, but I find it humorous (and want to remember to record it in my journal later).
Lately, she's been saying, "It's me, it's me! I'm three three three!" And I think of Ernest T Bass (from the Andy Griffith Show) every single time! LOL
-------------------------
Chloe was telling me about her favorite super heroes. "I like when Hulk smashes things. And I like Capkin America when he rescues people. It's cool when Black Widow does karate. And I like Hunk Guy, too" (That would be Hawkeye for you Avengers fans. LOL)
-----------------------
Why do 3 year olds find poop SO funny? Chloe has been making up songs about poop (and cracking herself up), and now she's started changing lyrics of songs to include poop. Today's little ditty: "I'm poopin' in the kitchen with Dinah. Poopin' in the kitchen I know...."
-----------------------
Sorry to keep posting these today, but gosh... she's making me laugh.
"Mmmmmm I love watermelon. It's SO sweet! You know what else is sweet? Chloe and oranges." - Chloe, age 3
--------------------
"Hey mama! Did you know I have a little baby sister? It's a girl baby. She's name is Shady." - Chloe, age 3
(and she does NOT now nor will she ever have a little baby sister. LOL)
--------------------
"I wanna help pour the milk! HEY! Help. Milk. That RHYMES!" - Chloe, age 3

Mother's Day this year was fabulous! The only thing that would've made it better is if Kendra had been here, too.
We started the day by going to brunch at Tanya's Soup Kitchen. It was pricey, but OH so very worth it! This will absolutely be a new tradition. It was a buffet, and they had all the bases covered. Talk about amazing!
Afterward, we went to the library where Chloe played in the children's area for a little while.
Then we came home and talked to all 3 moms on the phone, I went back out to the grocery store to pick up a few items to get us through the week, I skyped with Kendra, played a game with Chloe, and then settled in for some TV time with Jeff to round out the evening. It was an awesome and relaxing day! I definitely needed it!
