I have to share a funny story from earlier tonight.
I was working on the computer when Chloe came up and excitedly started saying "mouse! mouse!" pointing to my computer mouse. I was shocked because I'd never taught her this word, so I asked Jeff if HE had taught it to her. He said he hadn't, and we were wracking our brains trying to figure out how she knew what it was. She was seriously so excited, waving at the mouse "hi mouse!"
Fast forward a couple of hours while we were eating dinner, and she started saying "ABC Mouse! ABC Mouse!" And suddenly, the lightbulb went off for us. ABCMouse.com is an educational website for preschoolers, and they constantly show the ads on PBS Kids. We've never been to the website, and I wasn't even aware that she knew what it was. Apparently, even when she isn't "watching" tv (she's much too busy to sit still for an entire program), she's still listening to what is going on. She was so so excited about ABCMouse that I think we are going to have to look into it for her sooner rather than later!
And while I'm on the topic of ABCMouse, I also have to share that she's been singing the ABC song with us a LOT this week. She loves to sing it on her own... "ABC... OP... Now I... ABC!" She sings this over and over, but if I sing the song, pausing at the parts she knows, she'll join right in. I love it!
