More Randomness & Chloe is THREE!!!

Last week, Jeff was putting chloe to bed  tent. He was leaning in to give her kisses, and she says, "Move back Daddy.  I need to suck my thumb."

The other night, I was putting her down for the night, and she placed Bobby (her blankie) above her right shoulder.  She told me, "Bobby goes right there so I can suck on him."

She just came up to me and said, "Hey, you remember when I went to Sesame Street Live?  I told Grover a joke, and he said, (deep voice) 'hahahaha that was a funny joke, cwo-ee!'" (You can read my last post to see that it didn't happen QUITE like that.)

Chloe's 3rd birthday was actually pretty quiet, and we liked it that way.  She had wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese (no party, just to go), but she woke up SO cranky that day.  We knew that the extra stimulation would be a bad idea, so we tried to make for a fun day at home instead.

We started off by baking a rainbow birthday cake.  Chloe helped me add the colors, and we even made homemade cream cheese frosting.  This cake wouldn't win any Food Network awards, but Chloe thought it was THE best cake ever.

We Skyped with Kendra (aka "Sissy") while Chloe opened her birthday presents (blocks, a littlest pet shoppe house, and some puzzles), and pretty much just spent the day hanging out.  I do have more pics and video to share, but they're on my phone still.  Will post those later!

We also decided to buy a family membership to Exploration Place.  It's sort of a big science center here in Wichita.  I'd never been, but Jeff used to go with Rhys.  Chloe LOVES it.  She's been 3 times now since her birthday, and she never wants to leave.  She looks at different things each time she goes, so I don't see it getting boring for her anytime soon.  I'm looking forward to taking her to some of their preschool playdate things on Tuesdays this summer!

I love to watch American Idol.  Chloe always whines and says, "But mama!  I don't wanna watch Capkin Merican Idol!"

She also moved up to the 3 year old class at church last week!  She was SO looking forward to it because she's now a big kid who gets to go to the FUN ZONE!  It's like a gigantic McDonald's Play Place.  They have slides and tunnels and stuff.  They get to play in there til service starts, and then they go to the theater for worship (songs & puppets), and then they move on to their individual class for their lesson and playtime.  She LOVES our church, and she's super excited to be in the "big kid class" now!
